• Emergency Care

  At home care for Insect bites/bee stings
  
      Watch for swelling around the area of sting or bite
      Watch for swelling of face or hives on body
      If either occur give benedryl (diphenhydramine) Dogs: 25-50mg every 8 hours Cats: 12.5mg every 6-8 hours
  
  Care for dogs in extreme heat
  
      Have water available at all times
      Do not exercise in the heat of the day (only early morning or late evening)
      Have shade available

  Keep a baby pool available to keep feet and  underside wet (dogs do not have the ability to sweat to cool off)
